The biggest sports fan I ever knew was a guy I lived with last year. He had failed out of university the year before but was trying to fool his parents into thinking he was still a student. He was trying to fool us (my other house mates and myself), too, but it was pretty obvious. He used to get up at 11 PM (<- not a typo) and stay up all night watching sports highlights and cooking gross, greasy food which he would then leave on the stove top for days at a time. One time he made some fish pasta or something and it smelled so bad (I will let you guess what it smelled like) that I eventually had to physically remove the pot from the house. He also walked two blocks toward campus with my house mate and I under the pretense of going to write a midterm. Then he realized that he "forgot his pen," so he went back to our house and didn't come back out. His crowning achievement, I think, was the time he ate 10 hot dogs for lunch.

Anyway this guy was a Calgary Flames fan, and he used to wake us all up at night yelling "COME ON IGINLA." When Joe Thorton got traded, he actually started yelling and running around our house. This is why I cannot enjoy sports as entertainment.
