Tbh, if you team does NOT shoot a building with a beacon on your wasting a perfectly good chance to destroy it while the repair people have to choose between disarming the beacon and disarming the beacon. They can't do both, they either sit inside and repair, and it gets killed by the beacon, or they try to disarm the beacon, and it gets killed by the tanks.
