And, of course, you have to get the game/OS to recognize that the touch doesn't mean click here, but move the mouse here and then click. Touch screen technology works by (very basic description) interpreting mouse clicks, not mouse movements.

Renegade fires where the crosshair is, not at random points dictated by a click.
