To play on your server, while hosting it on your desktop PC, start Renegade and login to XWIS, minimize (Windows key or ALT + TAB) and start the FDS.

This will cause major lag for many users since your computer's having to do much, MUCH more.

The Renegade FDS and it's regulators (BR, NR, CS, etc) are very CPU hungry and require alot of resources. Make sure you have etiquette amounts of RAM and a good, strong CPU.

That way you'll have to keep renegade running if you keep your server online, not really prefferable right Wink

And depending on your machine running ren + server isnt any problem.
