Duke of Nukes

the US should have benefited economically from being at war...

How could our economy benefit from being at war? It would cost us money to manufacture the weapons and ammo, fuel, and to send our forces over there. It would ruin our relationship with middle eastern countries. It would cause us to increase the gas prices (from losing the oil, plus stupid gas companies over here increasing the prices to take advantage of the war). It would also hurt the tourist industry. The only economically benefit that would come out of it is the business oportunities that came out of post-war-iraq, which would be there rather the US was involved, or not.

all I'm saying is that just because France gets more money for not going to war...that doesn't mean that's why they aren't. Why not join in when the US had already gone to war if that was the case?

Why get down and dirty and actually help get the reward, when you can just sit back, wait till everyone else is done and complain and cry to the UN to get the reward?

It doesn't seem at all suspicious that they didn't want anything to do with the war in Iraq, but now that it's finished, they're all over the benefits after the war in Iraq?
