Whoa!

First and foremost I am sorry about your computer! Crying or Very Sad

I have never short circuited any boards of mine or my friends but I have always tried to be very careful when doing so.

I am still a little fuzzy about how the ram could do that unless the computer was on but still I am sorry for encouraging you to add some ram. Sad

I too have learned a lesson, I should have asked more about the situation before making an assumption that it could be done by the person making the upgrade.
