I have seen others post about their communities here so I will post about mine. Please do not confuse this thread with the previous one made about the LoS clan which is currently recruiting. This thread is about the community as a whole.
The Tsunami-Alliance is an online gaming community which facilitates both competitive and non-competitive gaming. Our structure permits us to support a variety of clans PER GAME. We currently have two Renegade clans (LoS and +TRPM+). We also play a variety of other games. Our site and forums currently support 6 fps games, 3 rpg games, and 3 rts games. We have 3 fps clans and 1 rts clan.
Since this is the Renegade community forum, I will tailor my solicitation towards C&C: Renegade but this also applies for any other game.
Clans often have the almost futile task of keeping a group of people together once their clan begins to fall apart or the game they play is no longer interesting to their members. Some clans experiment with support for multiple games (all under the same leadership and structure). This rarely works out in the long run.
In Tsunami, clans are given a private forum that they control access to. No other clans are permitted in their forum. Their forums are located on the community forums which gives them centralized access to a variety of games and gamers. The teamspeak is a community teamspeak with the clan leader getting SA and a private channel for their clan that they can do whatever they wish with. This allows people that aren't playing your game to drop into a different channel and meet new gamers rather than exploring new games alone. Also, a professional webhosting PACKAGE (not shared space) is given to your clan. You do not share space on the community website and NO ONE has access to your website files but you. Not even community admins. Your privacy is backed by a a company "ToS" (Terms of Service) and SLA and is hosted on a redundant network at a world class datacenter. The webhosting package is flexible for whatever you can justify and is absolutely free of charge for any community clans. Finally, community clans that are active in the community may be approved for FREE game servers through the company that sponsors us. Additional servers may be provided at heavily discounted rates.
What do we get out of it? The community has two benefits for its management: (1) A way to advertise its services to casual users and those who are not in the community. (2) To provide a quality environment for gamers without the worry of poor leadership or deteriorated ethics. You do not have to worry about your clan dying and having no one left to hang out with.
