Alt+Tab is not autofire, well it is but it's not build into the game. It's more of an effect, has to do with windows.
Anyway, when you press alt+tab it will open another window in your background, if there is nothing else running but your game it will/should bring you back to your desktop. When doing it as you hold say the fire button, then after you release it, it will seem as if your still holding it. Because you were holding it as you switched the mainwindow? Maybe... Or similar. It will stay like that until you back to the game and it realizes your not holding the fire button. Which is after the game is brought back up.....
I could get more technical, but I would confuse myself. Even though I know what I'm talking about, I don't know completely.
