1.) You need a valid serial.
2.) Your Renegade game serial works for your FDS.
^I should not have to had typed the "for your FDS" part above since this is in the Win32 FDS board, but so another noob like piotrkol doesn't go and say "So I can use the Renegade serial that came with the game for my FDS as well?" after this has already been explained, but I did to be careful. Just to make sure that this question doesn't get answered again.....

ISN'T THAT WHAT GOZTOW JUST FREAKING SAID. IF HE JUST SAID SO THEN WOULDN'T YOU ALREADY GOT THAT DOWN. THERE IS NO REASON TO ASK A QUESTION HE JUST ANSWERED WITHOUT YOU ASKING IT FIRST. FRUXING YES YOU CAN USE A RENEGADE SERIAL FOR YOUR FPS.
