There is nothing wrong with using the 939 socket or regular DDR modules, They are as fast as anything on the market, and will be around for a long time. Plus, I quit trying to have the latest and fastest hardware before anyone else. What looks fast on paper may not be so in real life situations or just may not catch on, note RAMBUS. I like knowing a product has proved to be a good piece.


They won't be around forever. Why? Because AMD isn't going to produce Socket 939 processors anymore. However Socket 754 will still be supported and will be the only true DDR(1) option from AMD as I said earlier.
