Regarding the ban...

If someone's going to DDoS an indefinite amount of people/servers, they should not be allowed to stay around. Incidentally, this might be a case for that stupid e-annoyance thing President Bush signed into law. Might as well get some good use out of it.

The current version was popularized by a widely reproduced academic painting by the 19th century artist Jean-Léon Gérôme, whose Pollice Verso depicts a triumphant gladiator standing over a fallen foe, looking up into the bleachers for the verdict of the crowd.
