Bush has said we'll stay until the job is done.
The job could be done as early as next year, or it could be a bit longer. By most modern measurements of victory, though, Iraq has been and continues to be a resounding success, and signs for a bright and optimistic future are very apparent. This is in spite of how the anti-Bush media like to play up every little story about "insurgent" attacks while burying the good news in the back pages of the newspapers, not to mention accepting every allegation of "torture" and "abuse" as absolute truth and plastering more pictures of Abu Ghraib at every possible moment.
Also:
Hydra | We have been over this many times before; the war was waged for three main reasons: 1) Saddam's failure to fully disclose all weapons of mass destruction in accordance with the cease0fire ending the first Gulf War as well as numerous UN resolutions; 2) Saddam's harboring and giving aid and comfort to known international Islamic terrorist groups; and 3) to liberate the oppressed Iraqi people from a brutal dictator that has a long history of torturing his very own people.
