Another update.
- I don't really want to buy any more stuff.
- on this website http://www.mycableshop.com/techarticles/connecting2computers .htm I found that I need ethernet network interface card (NIC) in order to use the Ethernet Crossover Cable but I don't have this card on my Desktop, so I will peobably have to try to use USB cable instead of the ethernet cable.
