download the patch for renegade
ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/
you probably want the second one (english 1.037), or the 1.037 for your language.
NB: You must do this BEFORE installing renguard. If you installed renguard before installing this patch then uninstall renguard and then renegade, delete the folder it was installed in (default is c:\westwood\renegade) and then install renegade followed by this patch, and then renguard
