I think bloodiest war is a title reserved for ww2. Just a point that stood out in your statement I didn't like above the rest of it. Well I beleive Canada earned some money from the korean war. So it was good for us, but I guess bad for the people who were fighting. But still do you beleive them claiming they had nuclear weapons? Hey, maybe their nuclear weapon is sucidally melting down a nuclear powerplant when under attack. But then again if they do have them then your country is, well, screwed royally. Because Korea has the means to use them and the longer you wait the farther they can send them. But then there is all the stalling you did. If you had delt with this in means other then negotiations then this problem could have been dodged. Why do I care about this issue rather then Iraq? Because iraq was decades from building something that could touch Canada. Korea is probably only years from something that could reach out and touch us. I don't really fear largely a nuclear strike on Canada. But fallout, the sudden need to go to war because our dang neighbour is tied to our tails, the economic problems (many thanks to capitalism inventing the stock market, the source of economic crisies), the broken trade links, the division of the nation on supporting the neighbour tied to our tails, the crashing down of the UN (I doubt many countries would be so eager to fight something that has weapons of large scale mass destrution), the opertunistic terrorists, the panicing and wildly thrashing neighbour tied to our tails, the day(s) the world would stand still, the sudden reactions of religous groups, the shouting and yelping of people who saw this brewing and are angry of inaction, the fear that would circulate the population, the sudden jolt of military presence in the pacific rim and the destabilization of the region, the outcry of our neighbour retaliating with nuclear weapons (I can see the US doing this but it does seem rather farfetched, but who knows what they can do in a fit of rage, the constant coverage of this on the news interupting my life, the refugees of the attack (assuming it is close to the Canadian border there might be displaced civilians coming here), the grounding of aircraft, the Canadians in the target area, I will continue but I need a thinking break. But I have a very vivid image of what will happen if they strike the US.
