Hmm Grey lines and white dots would indicate that the graphics processing unit (GPU) is overheating or has been overclocked too much. Check that the fan on the card is spinning, cheap fans are known to stop working unless you maintain them every so often. Also check if possible that your card hasn't been overclocke as this is one sign that would couse graphics glitches. If your system seems to crash a lot it could be a sign of a CPU cooling problem. If i ran C&C Generals for 2 hours or so it used to crash my pc due to overhating until I installed a new heatsink with a 7500 rpm fan.
