Personally, I would try to do this. If you can get it inside the vehicle spawn zone, it's even better. Why?
1. The doors will always shut, hiding the beacon.
2. People don't always think to look there.
3. If someone tries to repair the beacon, there is a good chance they will get killed by the vehicle spawn zone.

The downside is of course that you could get killed or spotted easily.
