Following up on the "Nobel Peace Prize nominated" Dr. Hammesfahr, thepoorman.net ran an interesting article that I thought I would share:

Well, by now we’re all familiar with Sean Hannity and “Nobel Prize nominated Dr. Hammesfahr. It turns out, of course, that the Good Doctor was “nominated in a letter by an ineligible Florida Rep (more info: http://mediamatters.org/items/200503220009).
Since that’s all it apparently takes to be a nobel nominee, I have OFFICIALLY NOMINATED Sean Hannity for the Nobel Prize in PHYSICS. Here’s my letter. It announces my nomination of S.H. and says something nice about his Continuing Contributions to Making the World a Better Place for All Americans, and closes with a little “shout-out to Queen Silvia.

Letter going into envelope addressed to the Nobel Committee’s PO box at the Royal Swedish Academy of Science. Notice no zip codes in Sweden.

All sealed up & ready to go.

And so now, by the logic that guides FOXNews, S.H. must from now on be referred to as “Nobel Nominated Physicist Sean Hannity, or “Sean Hannity, who is UP for the Nobel Prize in Physics, or whatever else you feel worthy of man of such esteem.

Yours,

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)
