What error message comes up when it crashes?

It just says renegade has encountered an error and needs to close. Something generic like that.
Unfortunately, my renegade has gone all screwy for some reason, and whenever I try to start renegade, the renegade config comes up (?). It just started doing that after the power went out... So I can't get it to give me the error message since I can't start it.
