I hope you don't mind me bringing the unheard veiwpoint to this topic.

We can complain when cemetaries are vandalized, when protests turing ugly, when people burn flags, but cheer when people bring down statues of a(n) (ex)head of state.

It's not the 'unheard' viewpoint it's the wrong viewpoint. The issue is obviously symbolism. What do you think should be done with a stature of your former murderous dictator? I hope those 8,000 lbs worth of guided bombs we dropped the other day 'did the job'. Would you drop off flowers @ his funeral? Wink
