NOt quite. United States of America is how you got that title. You are a bunch of States that united in America. Nowhere in the names of the other countries do they have the word "America", hense the U.S.A. gets labled with a shorthand name. One of five anyways. U.S.A; America; the States; the United States; or simly the U.S. It has nothing to do with being a first of anything other than having the word in your name.

Kind of makes you wonder if we had gone with the "United Provinces of America" rather than Canada...
