And do you know what an outlier is? its used in Statistics to show uncommon trends...

It's used to show abnormalities within a trend/correlation. Your definition makes no sense.

Can someone tell me what the difference in these two definitions are? Maybe its my bad Midwestern Education that makes me think that they are EXACTLY THE SAME.

Outlier = 1(one) data point. They do NOT show uncommon TRENDS. They show random abnormalities WITHIN a TREND. If you can't figure out the difference, I feel really sorry for you.
