i know if it gets to hot the computer will shut down and you may damage some of your components. if you don't want to worry about that check out http://www.coolermaster.com/case/index.html (i have the atc-200.) if you don't want to spend that much on a case then i think there are some cheaper versions of the cases there. i had a lot of cooling problems and i went through 2 gforce 256 cards. i then upgraded the computer myself and got that case as well as getting a gforce 3 64meg (the gforce 4 wasn't out yet) and a new chip (p4 1.7ghz) and a new mother board (intel gb850db.) i have had zero cooling problems and my comp is in a fairly enclosed place to. i've also heard that they make round connection cables instead of the flat ones and the round ones are suppost to reduce your comps internal temp but i'm not sure by how much and i don't know where to get them.
