have u tried getting in where the cockpit is? That seems to work a lot of the time.

For the legs - this may not work - but make the vehicle VTOL but disable the up, down, and strafe controls. Add an animation for the legs, slow the speed of the vehicle down, and POW, a walking vehicle.
