Try eliminating all nod units in the local area before rescuing your teammates (the dead 6, well 5).
I.E With Hotwire take out the flame tank, APC, nod buggy and nod infantry, the vehicles are found around to the left of her position. There is a nod APC near Dead Eyes position, take it out before meeting up with him, and escort him to safety, if you do not do that he will die, as he will encounter a flame tank, nod infantry and Madoza.

I had no problem with this level, it was easy compared to the 2nd mission after it!
But lots of people are having trouble with this mission???
