Destroy the base (the Power Plant and Communications center are crucial; you must destroy them). After you destroy the Power Plant, the laser fence around the temple disappears. After you destroy the Com center, a Ion cannon beacon will be dropped in front of the temple. Walk to the front entrance and pick up the beacon. That's it, mission over.
