Light tanks can easily take on mediums if the driver is good. The light tank has faster turret rotation than medium tank in addition to the speed and general manueverability.
As for stealths.. well. any good tank driver won't let a stealth get away even as it's cloaking. Just shoot at it and you'll continue to see it's shimmering blue outline. Plus, it's rare that I've ever alone in a tank.. most games have people all over the place all the time. Once that stealth decloaks to shoot me, it's likely that it's going to get hit by several people very quickly.
I love mammoths when appropriate. I hate it when people simply dismiss them as an option claiming that they give the other team too many points. They do have their uses when used properly. On small maps they are great once you can afford them. They also have the missles which massacre infantry with ease compared to trying to kill a single soldier with a medium tank. They also self heal to 600 health.
Of course mediums are my favorite, but there are times were mammoths work very well.
