I think you will find that a constitutional amendment cannot be overturned by the Supreme Court, because the best the supreme court can do is declare something unconstitutional and an amendment is by definition constitutional.
Additionally I don’t know but I would guess that a constitutional amendment could be used to overturn a Supreme Court ruling, however I believe that it would not be retroactive, hence the change would only effect new crimes committed after the amendment.
Finally the Supreme Court justices are nominated and approved by the other branches of government; hence they are indirectly voted in by the people and so (theoretically) represent the people.
