BOZEMAN, Montana (AP) -- A tractor-trailer overturned on a curve on a highway, spilling its load of hundreds of bee hives and unleashing some nine million angry honey bees.

Shocked

Call in the hornets, quick!

LOL. Kind of sad all those hives were destroyed though. I bet those bees were pissed.

My question, being something of an Apiarist because of my dad, why were they shipping that many colonies at once? I mean even commercially, you shouldn't have to haul 512 hives anywhere. It's rediculous, I also didn't like how they made the bees sound like they were attacking everything in sight. You work with bees, you get stung sometimes. But 99% of hives in America are not Africanized("Killer Bees") swarms that kill everything is sight.

There was a time when people were impressed that I have the firepower to decimate a planet in under 10 minutes.
