Thats what I'm serching for:
[list]
Space 50 or more
PHP support
Popups are ok
It must be allowed to link to files from somwhere else
huge files for download allowed, is not needed
FTP access
and of course free
[/list:u]

Pleas only post a host you have already tested, or a friend of you, and not post listings because most pages that lsit free provider are not uptodate.

What is the site for?
And be more elaborate on "It must be allowed to link to files from somwhere else"

Planning on stealing bandwidth?

And how big are the files.

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

Its a replacement for my current host at http://www.imageuplod.de.vu (www.100mb4free) because it is very slow.

"It must be allowed to link to files from somwhere else" is needed because this upload I setup so you can easiely post screenshots in baord, and use the [IMG] tag to display them.

The filzize can be limited to very size the provider allow but I think 300kb is the minimum.

Everyone uses the n00bstories.com free image hosting though? Why reinvent the wheel?

I will not force sb. or ask sb to use it, it is just that I can easyly upload from everywhere, and some visitors of my baord using it too, but as I said the host is sometimes slow, so im using for a free, better one.

I don't want to offer an service like N00bsories.com

First, what is "sb"? Smile

Second...I'm not sure you are aware, but you can link to pictures that are uploaded to the n00bstories.com image uploader directly in an IMG tag, using the "image fetch" url.

The n00bstories.com image hosting is 100% free with no bandwidth limit, so why not make use of it? :bigups:

a) n00bstories.com has never been down, It did have some slowness issues because the images were stored in an mysql database, but it has since been redone and is much faster.

b) Not being able to upload because you can't remember a password is not a legitimate reason to boycott a service lol. Try clicking the "forgot your password" link. All you have to do is enter your EMAIL ADDRESS (you can remember THAT right?) and it emails you a new password Razz

c) I'm sure you do, and I think its cool that you made it. I'm simply pointing out that it is redundant and there is a much more stable FREE service that you and everyone can and are allready using.

I could spend the day and write an HTTP server in PERL, but wouldn't it be silly for me to then suggest other people should use it instead of Apache/IIS etc?

Again I clarify that I am not bashing your script. It's cool, but from your own admission its purpose is to provide image uploader abilities, and the community allready has this with n00bstories image hosting. And, it's on a stable provider with no bandwidth limit or popups and is completely free.

So, unless you are offering something that isn't allready provided, I don't see any benefit in using something else?

I uses Photoshop, I dunno exactly what font it was, If you want I can look it up or send it to you.
Then I added a 1px balck boder to the fontlayer
and applyed a 3D effect.

Photoshop has really nice functions so you can easiely make nicelooking things if you combine them right.

laeubi, is your site hosted by 50megs.com? if so, how did you manage to get those pictures to work offline (that was your intention) since 50megs.com doesn't allow offline linking for free sites.
