Well, to make things short, something called LSASS.EXE keeps failing on my computer, which causes it to do the following:

You're infected with the sasser virus.
Download this patch after disabling system restore in XP
PATCH
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3549EA9E-DA3F-43B9-A4F1-AF243B6168F3&displaylang=en

then run this its called stinger a neat little app mcafee makes that will get rid of the infected files.

Make sure windows system restore is OFF or you will keep getting it.
Then go to windows update and install ALL security updates

Question...

I just reformatted someone's system due to this little nasty, and the second I hooked it up to his router it instantly brought up that reboot screen -- Is he getting it from his router or something?

Any other computers on your LAN?

The bots people use to infect people with these infect LAN computers. As soon as a new computer is hooked in, it sends it (via TFTP or it's own method) to the new computer.

Nope, I never hooked it up to my network for that very reason...

But I can't see how the virus would be stored on his router though...

Should I flash the router and reformat yet again?

No you have to install that patch before getting on an lan or internet. Sasser can infect your computer the instant you connect it to the net. It needs nothing more than a network connection to spread, wich is why its such a pain in the ass.

I just used my firewall to deny any type of connection into my computer untill I installed the patch, worked.
