The United States has shifted so far to the right in it's national discourse that even moderate Democrats are brandished as left-wing-radicals.
There is no more intelligent debate in this country. Either you're with GW Bush, or you're against him. And if you're against him, you're an unpatriotic terrorist-sympathizer.
I don't like Kerry much, but just about ANYTHING is better than GW. Holy Shit, can an American President do MORE damage to enviromental law? Social welfare? International relations? Corporate accountability? the National Deficit? etc, etc, etc.
Gizbotvas's Cat for President! Cause anything is better than what we've got now.

It's a typical human response to react to the negative more than the positive. People define themselves by their misery. People LOVE to compare who has it worse than the other guy. I bet 75-80% of you right now would say "Oh, my childhood was rough!" Everyone is doing better than they were 4 years ago, but they're worried that their neighbor isn't. Then you have the left-wing media doing all they can to make us think we're in this horrible miserable time. It's more fun to hate... especially when there's the trend to be "different". Who wants to feel like a conformist and agree with whoever is in office?
I'm the bawss.

Yeah, like the trend to be "crazy"... "Normal people scare me." "I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it"... you know the trend. Agreeing with someone in authority/power...
I'm the bawss.

"If Josef Stalin was running for president, would you vote for him since he 'isn't Bush?'" "Josef Stalin is dead." "I know he's dead, numbnuts. Let's say he was alive and eligible to run for president against Bush. Would you vote for him?" "But he isn't alive, so this isn't a likely situation."
Dave, it was a fucking hypothetical question. Don't reply to it if your reply isn't intelligent. Great attempt at derailing the topic!

I'm glad I don't live in the US.
| We are too.
| Well than we are all happy. Now stay out of American politics.

Were you replying to KIRBY or Dave, Nodbugger?

Yeah, except your question is just a huge exageration that doesn't mean anything. Because John Kerry is no Josef Stalin.
Crimson | Then you have the left-wing media
|
If it were true, that would be a good one! There is no overwhelming left-wing media. If anything, FOX is right-wing slanted by a huge margin. There's a reason they are cable news and not FCC-approved. Because they lie and distort so much it's just an entertainment channel and the FCC would wipe them right off the air.
Nodbugger | It seems every other thread is about how stupid I am. then their victory is 20 people calling me an idiot.
|
Sounds like you declaring llamaman451 to be an idiot and claiming a victory. Hypocrite.

Remember, that guy back in the Political IQ Test thread who everyone jumped on him because he had the same IP as his "intern" or whatever. And yes, you were there too.

...and to think it all started with me scribbling something to my 10-year-old sister on a dry-erase board...

Bush all the way. If any other president was elected, Iraq along with every city in the US would be a smoking crater within the hour because of their stupid policies.
