These guys definately need to research thier C&C timelines, and histories.

Look at the generals in charge of the units.

Von Esling would be 80 years old or so.I sincerely doubt Solomon was a general his entire career.

Foolish nonsense trying to mix generals with a good game with an actual plot.

Anyone who has even HEARD of this genre would not lump Generals into the C&C category.

They stuck the C&C name on it to make it sell, and no other reason.

I think that mod looks kind of neat. Besides, if you're going to make a top-down remake of Tiberian Sun or whatever in 3d, why not use the generals engine? I think the mod looks cool, although it will probably take a long time to finish.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

Von Esling would have been dead by 1995, or even 2032 by the time of Tiberian Sun.

The war of Red Alert took place in the 1960s. Von Esling was obviously in his early 50s then.

Carville was in Red Alert, too. At his age he would have died by 2000 or 2004.

I much prefer the mod at http://rising.cnc-source.com but tibgen is trying to do something 'fun' and not directly related to tiberian sun specifically.

the morons who are making this mod

53 years after the U.S. and China claimed victory over the GLA, several meteors streaked towards Earth. The meteors struck the blue planet, and released a mutative material now known as Tiberium.

HOW ABOUT GENERALS ISN'T PART OF THE C&C WORLD MORONS!

If you read further you would notice that altough based on the original story line, the facts in that story also don't have anything in common with the original storyline.

It's just like complaing about the dune game series not being true to the orginal story line. And if WS could get a way with a Crappy storyline in RA2, why must they try to do a better job.

Size doesn't matter.
