Get the no-cd crack or get Daemon tools.

You have to have a CD-image of YR to be able to use Daemon tools though.

Get the no-cd crack or get Daemon tools.

You have to have a CD-image of YR to be able to use Daemon tools though.

Know where i can get the crack? If i wanted to i would use my 'gamedrive' prog and make a image but it uses up too much space.

Are you sure? I downloaded it just now to virus scan it...Came out clean.

You might have a virus that infects files as they are used already on your system.

It changed my opening site to this *removed by thegunrun* and then my nortin said i had a virus. It took it away but it pissed me off.

Add this:

127.0.0.1 default-homepage-network.com

To your hosts file. (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts or C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)

So you don't have to go back there.

K thanks but just for reference does every site that folows the 127.0.0.1 code gets blocked? Like If i want to never go to n00bstories.com again i can just enter '127.0.0.1 n00bstories.com' or does the preceeding digits have to be edited?

127.0.0.1 is a loopback IP address. This means anytime your computer tries to connect to 127.0.0.1 it'll connect to your computer, and not attempt to look anywhere else. So yes, if you wanted to not visit any other site, do the same thing to those addresses in your HOSTS file as you did for that other one.

Adding that line to your HOSTS file will make sure that you don't have to visit default-homepage-network.com again. You will be taken to 127.0.0.1 which, as majikent said, is the loop back IP address, which will link you back to your computer.
