With my 9600XT when I am playing any game even renegade after a while of playing my fps will drop and it will get all jerky. can some one help me

with 1.0 gb of memory shouldn't be the problem and most of my programs are closed beside aim and msn

I think it could be that after a while of playing ren it start to overheat, everything always slows down when things get too hot!

could be a program using the harddrive/CPU check the processes when it gets all jerky and look for another program using CPU

Ever think that maybe the server is lagging out and it is hosting more that it can handle or maybe it is running more than 1 game server on it?

Also maybe your processor's special heat conducting glue has worn off. I know that this can make some differences in processor speeds. This could effect how quickly the data is interpreted.
