Ok so I had this problem when I tried to log onto Westwood Online saying I needed to reinstall Shared Internet Components, so I reinstalled and I thought I'd be able to play Renegade again Very Happy

. However Renguard needed to be reinstalled so I reinstalled Renguard. Now when I open Renegade I get the Renguard window so I press the Renegade button and this message pops up:

I tried to a few times and got the same message, at which point I broke down into tears. Crying or Very Sad

I know it's probably got nothing to do with Renguard but I don't have a clue what to do and was just wondering if anyone had any idea what I should do or if my computer is just completely FUBAR and I should just throw it out my window and get another.

You need to make sure you upgrade Renegade to version 1.037 BEFORE you install RenGuard. Uninstall RenGuard, patch Renegade, then install RenGuard again and it should work.

As for that Sig you are worried about, don't worry. It just uses the information your computer sends to EVERY website you visit to dynamically display your IP and browser type. Basically the image is a link to a php script on his site (or a site that provides the "service"), that gets your browser info, overlays it on an image, and spits out the image data to be displayed.

Anyhoodle, I got another problem with Renegade now, I can get onto the game but not onto any servers. It loads the game then when the "Message of the Day" box appears it just goes back to the Renguard window.

I've tried loads of different servers on each or the different areas, (Euraope, USA and Pacific) and I could only get onto one USA one and that was a capture the flag one and it got a bit old after a while.

The first thing I did was turn off my firewall and it didnt help. thanks for suggesting it though.

I can play on Reborn but the only server on there has dissapeared so I can't even do that now Crying or Very Sad

When my Renegade doesn't work, I always play something else. I sometimes play YR, I beat the living shit out of my Generals game( :twisted: ), and play a game called Runescape. Haven't played YR or RS in a while, but i shoot my Generals game with my BB gun every day :twisted: . When it gets broke, I just either glue it or tape it back together and do it again. Very Happy
