Ok, so, I load renegade, or try to join a game via GSA, and then renguard pops up. Half a second later some error message pops up saying "Failed to receive list of available master servers. Check your internet connection." My internet connection is fine. I didn't do the Renguard autoupdate, it was stuck at 0%, I just uninstalled renguard, then downloaded renguard 1.03 and reinstalled it. Anyway, once the error message pops up, and I press OK, renguard turns off, I can still click on options though, when the error message pops up, but I can't click on Renegade, so I can't play the game.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Can't get into renegade -.-

Configure your firewall to let renguard (game.exe) to the Internet. It can't connect to it, so it terminates.

Man, my firewall is OFF, and, I've been using it since it came out! I just got this problem.
Where can I download the second version of renguard? That way I can do the autoupdate instead.

In the begining i used rengaurd 1.02 and i didn't have to pen any ports or something on my router or my firewall. Now u used rengaurd i get the same error as scope Failed to receive list of available master servers. Check your internet connection

And now i have installed 1.02 it also didn't work and the servers that i love need rengaurd and now it even can't play on then and im also out of the war's with my clan cause the other clan always want to use rengaurd.
And this musn't be because i am a H-LEAD plzzzzzzz help me.

ok i dont know a whole lot about computers
ive had renegade for about a month and i got sick of friggin cheaters so i got renguard
it worked for a while and now it just comes up with
cnc mismatch error or renguard not installed
when i click play renegade from renguard
what the hell is wrong with it
plz help

When you upgrade RenGuard, your firewall needs to be told again that RenGuard is safe to access the internet.
As for the other error:

I'm getting the message: "CRC Mismatch Error"
This error message means that game.exe and game2.exe are the same file. This may happen if you try to install with the installer and the safe installer. You may need to reinstall Renegade to replace the now-missing game.exe.
I'm the bawss.

I was having a similer problem. My firewall was running, but yet something was still blocking RG from getting the master server list. When I got my firewall running again all I had to do is get it to allow RG and it worked again. It was almost like the firewall was still blocking it even though it was completely turned off.
I'm not completely sure what I did right, but what I did was log off of my XP user account and log back in. My Nortan internet security opened on startup and when I tried to open RG it asked me if I wanted to permit or block it from accessing the internet, i clicked permit, and it's worked ever since. If that doesn't work then you're going to have to route through your firewall/router settings and allow RG to get to the internet...
