Remember, don't act like you are the top shit your freshman year. You may have been high and mighty in the 8th grade, but you are beginning from scratch now.

Also, looks can be deceiving. Many times I have confused a senior for a freshman or sophomore, so remember to tread lightly.

Other than that, stick it out, roll with the punches, and try to survive you classes as best you can.

First thing you find out when you get there: high school sucks.
Try not to procrastinate too badly for papers and compositions you have to write, or you may find yourself staying up all night (literally) to write a satire in the style of Jonathan Swift to turn it in the day before finals after it's already two months overdue (true story).

1. My math teacher sucks. As in if you get my math teacher, switch.
2. Oh yeah, about the project thing, I have a poster due tomorrow and I haven't done much work on it, I have most of the info but I'm a horrible procrastinator (which is why I'm posting right now instead of doing it) but anywayz.......
3. Study. I have almost never studied in my entire life...... and I have a load of C's right now.....

If you have good habits currently, highschool really will be a breeze.

Seriously though dude, just be yourself. Simply put. It's not that big of a deal, it really isn't. Once you're there for about a week you'll be fine.

And remember the biggest rule-

It doesn't matter if YOU care, it matters if the teachers THINK you care.

x2. I good good grades with no effort. But I could be in the top 10 if I put in the effort.

My problem is I don't do homework. I score extremely well on tests and that keeps my grades up. Im also very good at standardized tests. I score very high on them. So my teacher are always surprised. I know the material but I don't do the work I have to do out of class. Unless it is a huge project or something.

Don't be popular. Popularity is a disease. Very Happy But also don't piss off everyone in the school- be at least on speaking terms with most people. However, I maintain that following every last socially accepted norm turns your brain into slush, so don't be too much of a conformist.

Also, don't let yourself get roped into thinking you can learn the way they try to teach you...figure out how you learn best, and do that. I guarantee you'll lose less points doing things your way than if you do things their way and do them wrong.

And no, you don't have to get straight A's. If you bust your ass 100% of the time to get perfect grades, you'll miss out on the whole back end of your childhood. When push comes to shove, happiness and a C owns the hell out of depression and an A.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

Walk up the biggest guy, and whack him in the face with a baseball bat.

No one will give you any shit then.

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

Freshmen year is by far the hardest out of all 4, Senior year is by far the easiest...

I finished all of my math, science requirements before my senior year and social studies before the second semester of my senior year, so I don't have to do that much anymore.

(btw, I graduate high school in 13 days!)

Yeah, this year I have pretty much been able to do very little. I was able to take art and although I had my science credits and math credits, I chose to take Physics because I hate literature so much. If you don't like reading at all, DO NOT take Literature, try to get away from it if possible.

Mainly opinion but i'd say make sure you keep a good reputation cause it tends to stick until the end. The work isn't as bad as public schools tell you, actually I find high school easier...

Getting girls is very easy in high school (imo, but it just might be my school, all those crazy rich girls <3 private school). Most are just curious about sex so get them as early as possible. Girlfriend = sex. Find a girl, take her out, ram her. Or you can be a sleezeball and go to a party and get a drunk one.
