I would like to know if its possible for you guys to change the color of the private pages.

At this moment the color is dark blue. This sux because the background is gray (actually its black/transparent) ... So the messages are almost not visible. Neutral

It would be cool if you guys could change it into light blue.

This is what I was especting.... Lotsa n00bness here on the forums... Most people are just posting to increase their post count...

Mr. Smartass: Red is already being used for messages from Nod. The reason why I want light blue, is because I don't really want to change the color. I want to keep the blue, but only make it a bit lighter so that it becomes better visible against the dark background.

If that confuses you, then you shouldn't be asking for video game help. You should be asking for psychological help.


What are you talking about. All messages from that come from Nod start in Red. If the private messages get sent in Red too, it will solve 1 problem (the messages will become better visible), but it will create an other (it will be a bit more difficult to see the difference between these 2 types of messages).

Is it possible to change the color with hud_6x4_messages.dds? I'm asking this because I heard it wasn't. I heard you could only change the size of the letters. (Something that I don't want!)

You change text background with that.

Just put these together, a few HUD skins with various colours (black, clear, dark blue, dark green and purple).

if people start playing around with the commands..... 4 persons say 5x affirmative... then your screen will become purple or green or blue or whatever hud color you use Razz lol

Heh, not quite, it only displays the background up to 7 or so messages on the screen at any one time. Besides, you can set how many lines you want to display in the registry.
