And freedom of speech works both ways. Why are you telling us to "Shut up" yet claiming you have the right to free speech? Also, this is NOT a public place. Crimson can censor anything at will.

This also isn't a place to convince people that their beliefs are true. I'm letting people saw whatever they'd like. Just adding my opinion into the mix.

Kytten9 | Im English, we dont have Amendments....Besides Amendments dont apply in cyber space, im sure i've had that arguement with people before
|
I'd like to add to that. This place is owned privately by Crimson. She can censor/change anything at will. the amendments argument doesn't apply here.

Quote: | The only evidence we have that 'Jesus' ever existed is by a Bible who was written by someone so confused, they couldn't decide on what to call themself.
|
To start off, the Bible was written by several prophets. Not just one confused person. But since you seem to think that Christianity is "confusing" then it would be several confused people in your case.
I'd also like to take the time and say thanks to all the people who said that there is no God and that Christianity is stupid. Thanks for showing respect for someone elses beliefs you assholes. I hope you take the time to learn some manners and morals towards other people before you're all worm chow.

Now, saying Christianity is stupid is pretty nasty, but voicing your opinion that you do not believe in God is NOT attacking someone's beliefs in christianity.

Alright, I'm done with this thread. I'm not gonna be caught arguing with some people about religion. You worship God, I worship the flying porcupine. Let's let it stand at that.

Kytten9 | Last but not least....if the bible is the word of god before all time, and states that he made the world in 6 days, rested on the 7th and the first 2 creatures he created were Man (adam) and woman (eve) and yet we have proven dinosaurs came before man or woman, why are they not mentioned in the bible?
|
Word of God before all time? I know that Timothy 3;16 says all scripture is given by inspiration of God, but where does it say that? I'm not being critical, just interested. If you're assumed that under the assumption of predestination, I'd recommend that you order the class, "Predestination and the Freedom of Will," which can be found here.
As for the dinosaurs, there is some interest in that some of the Hebrew words of Genesis 1:2, "tohu va bohu." What's the commotion about? Well, the word "was" changes to "became:"

Very true. The books contained in the Bible run from circa 1050 B.C. (Genesis) to 100 A.D. (Revelation). This time frame may be stretched further if the Book of Enoch is legitimate.
Speaking of which, they are many books that are supposedly scripture, but are not in the canocical texts. There are some references to such books like the Book of the Wars of the Lord or Book of Jasher.
More stuff about books not in the canocical Bible: http://www.sacred-texts.com/chr/apo/index.htm
Sorry about hijacking your topic, Gunny. I'm just sick and tired of people like xptek who always bring up crap. I for one am tired of "putting up" with people like him dissing God, Jesus, scripture, and so on. It's time my generation listened to God, before they cause more chaos and lies in this world.
God bless

Yes, and I'm tired of the friggin church people coming to my door and forcing their opinion down my throats. If you don't like my opinion, don't respond. You have a 0.1% chance of swaying my opinion. When I see some pictures of Jesus, or when the world goes boom. I'll believe it.

Words and idealogies can be weapons. Also, just because they have good intentions doesn't mean that they aren't.

Not believing in a god is a weapon? I'm not the one against gays and other groups. It's ironic you're telling me I'm destroying stuff, when a lot of wars have been caused by religion.
