Creat a shortcut to your renegade game.exe, then add the following after it:
+connect ServerIP:Port +netplayername 'YourNameHere'

So the shortcut should look something like:
C:/Westwood/Renegade/Game.exe +connect 135.274.484.478:7000 +netplayername Vanilla
It's up to you to find the server IP and port though.
