Hi guys,
As most of you know, there are still a lot of people having trouble with RenGuard. jonwil needed a break from it (as programmers often do) and now v00d00 is looking at the problems.
If we can't locate the source of the problem within about 12 hours, we'll go ahead and roll you all back to 1.00 which was the stable first release. Hopefully we won't have to do that. Thanks so much to all of our 'test cases' who have helped us towards fixing the problem, and much apologies to you all on behalf of the RenGuard team.
In the meantime, you may use "game2.exe" to access Renegade, skipping RenGuard. If you have any trouble using Renegade now, please come to the chat room mentioned above and we'll help you get back in the game.
Again, sorry for the unforseen setback. I assure you that future upgrades will be tested with an even broader user base before we send it to everyone.
If you have any questions, most of us are here and awake in IRC to answer any questions.
