Well, I was playing on the RenStation server today, which had Renguard installed.

But during a game, someone was able to cheat by shooting through vehicles and building structures.

I thought you folks might want to look into this. Thanks.

Got any screenshots? Or the name of the person who was doing it? All the wallhack cheats we have seen are just that...wall/terrain hacks, cannot shot through a vehicle as it is a model.

Unless you provide some actual proof or a lot more information, this report will probably be filed in the "bogus" category.

Unfortunately I did not take any screenshots as I was too busy trying to save the Hand (I was Nod). But it did cause a lot of uproar.

The culprit was someone named ohyes(with some numbers that I couldn't remember).

Okay I am looking into this. So far I can tell you that nobody named ohyes* or even *yes* has logged into any RG-enabled servers. I will speak to the admin of Renstation and get him to check his logfiles. Can you tell me exactly what day and about what time this happened?

Note that we have tested wallhacks and they cannot shoot through anything that is a model (PTS, vehicles, etc), nor can models (tank shells) go through anything and do damage.

ya i seen a few on fasctconn other day
1 shot tank kills and 1 shot player killz

He is banned from tricksvr. His nick is ohyes13 and he is not using RenGuard. Are you sure RG was enabled on that server?

that was me testing out my SSC remotely on the server, so therefore it would have told anyone on that server WITH RenGuard that they had logged into that server...

No panic, was a test, that was only a test, had this been a real occurance of RenStation running RenGuard the cheater would have been kicked. Remember, that was only a test...

this happend to me to this guy could shoot through walls buildings pretty much anything. he kept claiming he wasent cheating and it was just because of lag. lag can do something like this especially considering the fact that i was on rensation and i have a cable modem so lag could not have been a problem.

i hope some1 catches that cheating noob and banns him from rensation. hes making the game no fun for everyone.

i hope u can fix renguard so this kind of cheat dosent work any more
