got installed 1.01...
getting this message now:

Bad/Corrupted file data\always.dat has been found in your renegade directory

i'm using the german version of the game 1.037.... all is also correct...
WFT ist it talking about?

..but game still works

y usind no-cd? make an image from the original.. put it on your drive and mount with any virtual-cd-driver

get the new version here:
http://download.renguard.com/rg_downloads/RenGuard_Setup_1.01.exe

u have to click on "Renegade" else Renguard will disconnect after some seconds itselfe

Arrow cause you only need 2 files from the cd all *.bik files to run in MP, and the only thing in SP is the *.bik files as well.

Your always.dat does not match any of the ones we have. It's corrupted or modified. Re-extract it from your renegade cd and it should work.

Do not install RenGuard 1.01. There's a bug in it that caused a lot of people to have crashes. Please only use 1.00, available on renguard.com.

Well, a cd patch takes say 500KB space the renegade iso will take 700MB...........

And ren wont load faster because it doesnt read from the cdrom during game play with or without cd-patch, it loads its content from HD only. So the logical solution in speed, size and comfort is to use a no-cd patch in Renegade's case.
