And soon your server will be filling up again.

[13:11] [@Crimson]: !gi
[13:11] [@n00bsvr06]:  Westwood Online mode active since 4/14/2004 - 0:47:22 AM

[13:11] [@n00bsvr06]:       NOD : 11/32 players      7868 points

23 players, not too shabby. If you want to enforce your server with RenGuard, you have to stick to your guns. If you "wimp out" and turn off RenGuard protection because "no one" is downloading it, you're not giving anyone a reason TO download it.

There have been over 4500 successful installations of RenGuard so far. Idle in your own server if you have to in order to get other people in the game (most people don't like to sit in an empty server waiting for an opponent)...

We also have an upgrade scheduled in about 5 hours from now (6PM PST April 14th, 2AM GMT April 15th)... which should clear up the problem with people being told they don't have RenGuard when they do.

And if you're still running SSC 1.0 or BRenBot 1.33, UPGRADE NOW to help resolve the issues that came out this last week.

now now now crimson.... I know your feeling the pinch, its the same pinch that you had on the attempt at running fan map server... Laughing

RG still having too many problems, causing people to lag and what not...

I'm not feeling any pinch. My fan map server was only up for a few days because it was on a box scheduled for decommission and when said decommission occured, it went offline. I think fastc0nn/RenStation fills the fan map niche quite nicely and I don't see a need to compete with that.

RenGuard can't possibly cause people to lag unless their computer is stuck in the stone age. We have over 4500 successful installs, you're just reading about the problems here because you don't tend to post if everything is working fine.

Keep pushing my buttons. No one wants you here, so don't force me to make you leave. Just take the hint.

4500 successfull isntalls and 5000 failed un-installs, 6000 renegade re-installs , 100,000 incorrect RG kicks to valid users
if 100 servers are online, 5 have renguard, keep pushing number up, they only make the situation more hopeless,

its only a matter of time before you yourself will uninstall it, to which I will just laugh

ya your buttons and your forum, and your "delete" title under my nick, we all know its all about "your" "your" "your" just like servers would be "yours" when they connect to the RG network

Get the fuck out of this thread and go back to your NFD fucking retarded channel and whine and bitch about debates on why you have a .5 inch penis

I know your cimson's person ass kisser, which is why she has plenty of room on "her' forums, and all the shit you say is acceptable because your defending her ass all the time.

I am not kissing Crimson's ass, there'd be no need for it. I am however defending her and her network because I have found it to be a nice place to enjoy.

Do EVERY ONE of your posts have to have a swear word or a flame towards someone else?

Usually people have to make fun of people by saying they have "short comings," but that's usually in response to them having a short coming.

Just because I wanted to have a civil debate to keep flaming off of these forums, you decide you can flame me for wanting to debate. You are making fun of that because you know that you would lose so quickly so the only thing you know how to do is flame that idea.

You havn't been in NFD_Public so shut the fuck up. And since you've been living under a rock, NFD is just a membership saying that we hate you and other fucktards.

I don't run RenGuard, my dear. mac runs RenGuard. And we are not taking anything from server owners. In fact, later upgrades to the SSC and BRenBot will allow more and more functionality to the server owners to control what questionable rules they choose to allow (such as crystal scope).

I don't what you say or don't say, but I see your hand in everything renegade and I'm quite frankly sick of it. I don't like the RG network having control over my servers, reading my server logs, knowing eveything about my ini's and then broadcasting that information to a central base. Not to mention Global messages and what not.

Let me make 1 thing clear, RG is a good app, RG network is not, I have no intentions of other people having access to my servers, without my permission. Which is why I won't be running RG unless it is de-centralized from the RG network.

Wow, you're really paranoid, aren't you?

It's not a dying plea. RenGuard is far from dying. However, there are SOME people with the opinion that they will "wait until RenGuard is more popular" before running it, without realizing that it won't get popular unless they do.

It's not because RenGuard doesn't work, it's because people won't download it unless their favorite servers are running it.

And my servers are proof of this. They are starting to pick up, just like everyone else will experience.

I have to agree with Alk on this one topic I like control over MY server that is why I pay for MY server!!! I, and only I, want to know about what goes on in MY server! I don't want MY game information going to someother jackasses server! So that is MY reason for not running renguard!! If you fix this problem then sure I will be happy to put renguard on, there just aren't enough mods to cover and get rid of all the cheaters! So yea!

That first part doesn't make sense - did you mean "I don't care"?

Look, no-one is forcing you to use Renguard, it is a clear choice by both the client and the server owner. The RG network is there to enforce bans from things like tampering and the like... an extra layer of protection. It means that users that have been tampering with the client stay banned from the game-servers with Renguard enabled.

How is that not a bad thing?

Alkaline

I don't like the RG network having control over my servers, reading my server logs, knowing eveything about my ini's and then broadcasting that information to a central base. Not to mention Global messages and what not.

If you don't like it, don't use it. Most of that information can be retrieved one way or the other. I trust the Renguard crew to act responsibly if they have access to that information and besides if they abuse it - you can always remove it. Besides they probably need some of that information to confirm you are in the game AND logged into the renguard network.

You still have CONTROL in your server, You STILL pay for your server. I seriously doubt Renguard is an application which is designed so the Renguard crew can sit there all day WATCHING and CONTROLLING your server - if you haven't NOTICED its an anticheat. If you don't want your previous information used to check what players are in game and compare them to users logged in on Renguard... then don't use it!

edit: Fixed a spelling mistake.

So I guess it's OK for WOL to get your game results for their ladder, but it's not OK for us? Hmmm... we're trying to unify the community and make the game better for everyone, quit trying to split it up.

I was saying that it was fine for the Renguard network to get the game results. I hope it didn't appear different.

Crimson, I know you try to be nice and all, but Alkaline is like a really bad cancer. No matter how much therapy you go through, it keeps coming back and the only alternative is to have it removed surgically.

Or you could look at it this way, he's like a non-cancerous tumor. Doesn't matter if it is life threatening, it's still better to have it removed than to have to keep dealing with it until it does become a problem.

Busted!!!

Alkaline, after our disagreement, I decided to try to give you another chance. What a waste of my time. You are a complete jackass!! If you honestly think that the Renguard team gives two shits about your server, then don't run it. But, don't come here spouting your crap. In case you haven't figured it out, nobody here likes you. The only reason Crimson hasn't banned you is because she is too nice. If I ever see you in anything I run, or have a say in, you'll be instantly banned. I don't want you in any of the servers I can ban in, or on any sites I have the power to ban you on. You are a total twat, and deserve to be banned from the entire community.

RG is not going to be popular because of your dumbass. BAI BAI, have PHUN, RG = CG, crimson guard. Oh wait, wasn't there a clan called this Laughing

RG will only be POPULAR IF, it is decentralized and servers get full control over their servers, other wise you can forget about it

The server admins still have full control over their servers, they can kick, qkick, ban, change maps, send admin messages, send messages, page, shutdown, restart etc etc. You are somewhat claiming that Renguard removes that ability. There are a number of reasons why it is centralized and we have been over them time and time again - yet you don't listen to the valid points.

Somewhat you, one person with his mighty servers represents the entire community so if you have a problem with Renguard - don't use it, the RenGuard team are not saying "All your servers belong to us, you MUST install Renguard now", they are simply providing a means of keeping cheaters OFF your servers and other servers. Many servers have it installed or are preparing for it, and they will enjoy having cheat free games.

Though that same IP thing was a bit funny
