Renguard will not interfere with the download itself.
Also, on some servers RenGuard is not set to Pure-Mode so this means that skins (any skins) are allowed to play with.
But most servers are set to run in Pure-Mode and on this servers you will be instantly kicked for having skins on your pc.

Just keep your original files, it saves you alot of trouble when you lost track of what was and what wasnt allowed to have on Pure-Servers and your forced to reinstall your entire Ren again :S

Thanks zunnie... Also I have the all popular sniper mod, the one where you can host a game and have people not use pistols, Strip/WF destroyed, fixed credits etc etc, when I try and play C&C Renegade, the RG won't let me connect, "Unable to connect, Unauthorised file found" or something like that. The file was <something>.ini ... I used this mod pack and unzipped it, then copied scripts1.dll scripts2.dll and that .ini one into my Ren Data folder. Do I need to have these files in a different folder or can't I use it? Crying or Very Sad

Dunno dude, i dont use a sniper-only mod. But as far as i know this sniper-mod is for Dedicated servers only?? They arent supposed to be in your Renegade dir.
