If it is on GSA then I will not play I only play REOL/WOL as I have problems with GSA...

Why not just run the server on a windows machine?

After the last match i'll give it a miss. It was the faulty Oneshell servers that were the main problem. Their WIN32 server ran at a constant 60 SFPS and low pings only problem was that the server was not stable at all, we all had crash to desktops every minute and then they decided to switch servers. A 40 player Linux server was the one the matches were played on and the SFPS took a massive hit (around 9-11) and the game was unplayable. I was in the match with 3 other of my clan members on the GSA team andwe couldn't drive a vehicle because of the lag. I don't know what was wrong with the server but it was faulty and the match was a big dissapointment and we had to leave due to the lag. I', not saying it was a bad idea but the servers we're tested too late and thats what let the match down.

If you are going to have another GSA vs WOL game it should be fully organized with about 2 weeks notice so both sides have enough players and have a Teamspeak or RW etc channel ready for the game , id play GSA but make it more arranged

If it's on Gayspy I will not play there. That service has got to be the worst one out there. They really need to revamp their look.

The oneshell servers are NOT "faulty". The problem was the Linux FDS. Jonathan Wilson, mac, and Blazer spent a lot of time with Codewench on his offtime fixing those bugs in the LFDS and now it's comparable to the Windows FDS.

I'm the bawss.

Yeah i'm not saying it's bad, it had just been released at the time this server was setup and the performance was quite poor at the time. I play on servers using the Linux FDS and there is no difference noticable compared to the Win32 ones. The Linux FDX is a great development and i am not putting it down in any way, it was just the state of things at that time.

That's fair enough. The Linux FDS at the time didn't stand up to the challenge of a full house. The server hardware and bandwidth were up to the test, but the software itself failed to cut the mustard. I just don't like to see the blame placed on mac who had spent countless hours for this community... but only a small handful of people really know about it. He's the strong, silent type, if you will. Smile
