Mismatch means your version isnt't the same as the server's your trying to play on
hence the name mismatch 
This happened to me you can do 1 of 2 things
1: go to start
programs>westwood(or wat ever folder renegade is under)
once in that folder youll see
Read me, unistall, renegade blah blah blah click on the one that says
Renegade auto update it usually dosent work for me but it might for u 
2: which is wat i had 2 do 
Totally uninstall renegade and the next time you go to run it (after you have reinstalled it)
Just act like everythings fine
Once you click on advanced game listings and its trying to connect you itll ask if you want to upgrade to the newest version (Click yes)
