I get this error while trying to install.

I have my anti virus disabled
I have rebooted.
I have re-downloaded the appy.

May not be related, but from looking around the Installsheld error 0x5 is from not having privilages to create a folder in XP... This would be avoided by installing the software with a user account that has Administrative privilages. (If you already are, then sadly I wasn't able to find anything else.)

I had that happen today, if you clicked "Open" when you downloaded it, go to re-download it and click "Save" instead, that's all I can say because it did the same thing on my sister's computer :rolleyes:

No your advice does not help. The user account I'm on is set to administrator and is the only account on the computer.

Guess I'm stuck for now :/

Hmmm I can package up a zipfile, that along with a batchfile or simple instructions, will allow you to install renegade without using setup.exe
