Well, then you can't blame us... we didn't infect your PC. We can't let you play on RenGuard with an altered exe.

I'm the bawss.

You can run game2.exe to bypass renguard and play on non-renguard servers...of course your virus will then infect it as well (probably allready infected). You need to kill the virii Smile

The ban message probably should have been more clear, I guess we figured you were a hacker so didn't bother to be very professional. At least you found your way to IRC and these forums so we could clear it up.

Darthcide who has never logged into RenGuard?

He would be using a different name, unless you know his ip.

Good. I'm glad we agree. Cheater.

Just because someone went on a small cheating spree to see what it was like, doesn't mean that they are a cheater.

I don't believe anything has been shwon that would say that prox is a cheater.

I doubt he would cheat, and would ever mean to, so lets get the guy unbanned.

lmao, this is the funniest thread I've read all week. First Prox asks me for advice on getting Renguard working in the first place. Ten minutes later he's banned for "hacking" it? Anyone else seeing the flaw here?

You can still play, just not on servers with renguard. To bypass renguard go to the "game2" Icon (I think) in your data directory.

Don't be ignorant. When you cheat you're a cheater. By DOING the act, makes you a DOER. It's pretty simple.[/b]

are we all aware that (no offense), renguard is pretty miserable and doesn't seem to stop much?

The server owners i have been in contact with tell me that it won't detect bh, final, and other cheats. I have been testing it myself in collusion with other owners, and all it seems to do is kick people for not having it. I guess that's one way to end cheating - don't let anyone on the server.

I don't want to kick up a flame or anything, and i am aware that a lot of hard work has been put into this, but...it doesn't stop bh and has little effect on final renegade, so i don't think i'll be using it. Maybe next version, perhaps? I look forward to seeing the next release.

yes, it seems to take a few games before it detects it. we were running final and bh on zero x era today, and it took about three games for renguard to detect the host's finalren...didn't pick up bh at all...we are still running tests. I look forward to the next version, anyway.

ya our main server is a ghost town... It's just getting rid of everyone because they don't have it. I had thought that you did not need the Client Side but I guess I was wrong.

I dont buy his story. Here is why:

1. All of the sudden he remembers he has a virus when it is mentioned.
2. I have had this virus and you can't play renegade when you have it without reinstalling and repatching everytime. The reason here being is it does infect exes and it alters Game.exe so it ceases to function.

Proof (Taken from my dads computer, I never reinstalled renegade after Game.exe was infected.)

http://www.n00bstories.com/image.fetch.php?id=1282524598

This may seem farfetched but I think he got the virus and put it on his computer to save himself.

Also doesnt he say he can't reinstall renegade and then says he will reformat and reinstall xp. How that fix anything because would you still not be able to reinstall renegade? Did I miss something?
